Dani Koch (Ferrara)

HOME TOWN: Charlotte, NC

LICENSE: SCCA National

HIGHLIGHTS:
2015 8 Hours of the Cascades Champions - E3
2014 SCCA Pacific Northwest Challenge STU Champion

ABOUT:
Dani's first experience at a race track was at the age of 3 when she attended a Champ Car race at Nazareth Speedway in Pennsylvania with her dad. After spending years attending races as part of family vacations, she grew an interest in the sport, not just as a fan, but as a potential driver. She became involved as her dad's Crew Chief in 2007. During that time she studied racing: always listening, observing, and learning as much as she could. It took a few years for Dani to get in the driver's seat, but once she did there was no turning back. At the age of 19, she began racing Spec Miata in the Pacific Northwest, and has continued developing her skills in both driving and business.

Dani earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from Portland State University in 2015. That same year, she began frequently attending IMSA races with her now husband, Kenton Koch, as he pursued his professional driving career. Dani began working for herself in 2018 as a Brand Strategist and Entrepreneur, where she strives to help others create a business and life they love.

FAVORITE FORTUNE: "Nothing can keep you from reaching your goals. Do it."

HER INSPIRATION: "My dad," she says. "He is the one who got me interested in racing and he has supported me throughout this journey. He's a great racer himself, and he believes in me. I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for my dad!"
